Wild Type Cherry Shrimp (Neocaridina davidi) are small, hardy freshwater shrimp native to Taiwan. They typically feature a transparent, light brown or greenish body with a faint reddish tint, and they can grow up to 1.5 inches (3.8 cm). Known for their ability to thrive in a variety of water conditions, they are excellent for aquariums where they help with algae control and provide natural cleaning. These shrimp are peaceful, social creatures that do best in groups and prefer densely planted tanks with plenty of hiding spots.
